The long, long road

that stretches along Yeido (the island in the middle of Seoul) is famous for its cherry blossom trees. Two weekends ago was tipped to be the weekend when the blossoms come out, and every Korean and his dog flocked to this street to enjoy the flowers and the spring weather.

Our picnic

After taking a stroll up the long street Songsu and I sat on the grass in Yeido park to eat our picnic. Nibbles consisted of kimbab, sandwiches, croissant, yoghurt and strawberries....delicious.

It was all too much

for poor Songsu, who took a nap in Starbucks after visiting the park. A man can cope with only so many flowers...
